Street Crane is a full member of LEEA and a contributor to this code of practice which contains a section specifically relating to electric overhead travelling cranes. It also includes information on the use of lifting equipment in general including:

• Comprehensive guidance on safe lifting practice
• Authoritative information written by impartial industry experts
• Current, up to date industry practice
• Globally applicable guidance

The code of practice is aimed primarily for organisations using lifting equipment rather than the individual operators. It was written to help those responsible to meet the legislative requirements and section 2 refers specifically to electric bridge and gantry cranes.
