Electrical Installation Engineer


THE ROLE: 

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an Installation Engineer to join our successful and established Installation team, reporting to Technical Services Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To install / test & commission the equipment to schedule in accordance with installation plan & documentation/ procedures on sites throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.
  • Day to day organisation of both plant and labour on site and to liaise with subcontractors and other key parties on site.
  • To support in the Health and Safety requirements associated with installation works, by providing on site information and to undertake site visits when required.
  • Liaise with Technical Services Manager and client to effectively deliver planned jobs.
  • Support the Technical services Manager on site, to include when necessary assistance in the compilation of lift plans & RAMS documentation and where required attend site meetings.

 

THE CANDIDATE:

 

The successful candidate will have:

Essential

  • Application of mechanical or electrical qualification within a heavy manufacturing environment
  • A comprehensive knowledge of 3 phase motor control systems including PLC’s & inverter control.
  • 17th Edition certification or more recent qualification
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Be computer literate.
  • Be able to work as part of a team & also to work alone when required
  • Good communication skills
  • Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to identify and resolve faults / required operational changes

 

Desirable – Although preferred training will be given to achieve the following:

 

  • CPCS (Appointed Person)
  • CPCS (Crane Supervisor)
  • CPCS (Banksman slinger)
  • Emergency First Aid
  • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety training Scheme CITB)
  • IPAF(International Powered Access Federation)
  • Rescue from heights
  • Harness Training
  • Working at Heights Medical and training
  • PASMA (portable access Manufacturers Association)
  • SECAS (passport to safety)
